How to Publish Training to the Marketplace
The Pineapple Academy Marketplace allows approved content creators to make training available to Pineapple Academy customers.
This guide walks you through creating a training asset, submitting it for review, and tracking its marketplace status.
Before You Begin
Before submitting training to the Marketplace, make sure you have:
- Access to your Pineapple Academy creator account
- A completed training asset
- A 16:9 thumbnail image
- A title and description
- The correct supporting file format for your content type
- Any relevant category, industry, regulatory, or continuing education information
Submitting training does not guarantee that it will be accepted or published. All submissions are subject to Pineapple Academy’s review and approval process.
Step 1: Create Your Training
Log in to Pineapple Academy and navigate to My Library.
Select Create Training.
Choose the type of training you would like to create:
- Course
- Video
- Document
- Playlist
- Collection
Select Next to continue.
Step 2: Configure Your Training
Set up the basic configuration for your training, including:
- Content language
- Voice gender used in the content
Next, enter the training details, including:
- Title
- Description
- Objectives, if applicable
Objectives are optional, but they are encouraged when they help learners understand what they will know or be able to do after completing the training.
Step 3: Upload Your Thumbnail
Upload a 16:9 thumbnail image that will represent the training within Pineapple Academy.
Accepted thumbnail file types include:
- PNG
- JPEG
- JPG
- GIF
Choose an image that is clear, professional, and relevant to the training topic. Avoid placing important text or visual elements too close to the edges of the image.
Step 4: Upload Your Content
Upload the training asset using one of the supported file types.
Video
Accepted formats:
- MP4
- MOV
Document
Accepted formats:
- PNG
- JPG
Complete any remaining fields required for your selected training type.
Once everything is ready, select Publish.
Publishing the asset adds it to your library. It does not automatically submit the training to the Pineapple Academy Marketplace.
Step 5: Submit the Training to the Marketplace
Return to My Library.
Locate the newly created training in the library list.
On the row containing the training, select the three vertical dots to open the action menu.
Select Submit to Marketplace.
A submission drawer will open with additional marketplace information to complete.
Step 6: Complete the Marketplace Submission
Enter the requested marketplace details.
Requested Start Date
Select the date when you would like the training to begin appearing in the Pineapple Academy Marketplace.
The requested start date is used for planning purposes and does not guarantee that the training will be reviewed, approved, or published by that date.
Submit content as early as possible if it is connected to a campaign, event, certification period, regulatory deadline, or other time-sensitive initiative.
Training Categories
Select all categories that apply to the training.
Categories may include:
- Industries
- Departments
- Relevant regulatory bodies
- Continuing education certifications
Continuing education information is optional. Only select regulatory bodies or certifications that accurately apply to the training.
Once the information is complete, select Submit.
Your training will now enter the Pineapple Academy Marketplace review process.
Step 7: Track Your Submission
To view your marketplace submissions, navigate to:
Create > Marketplace Submissions
This page displays your submitted training and its current status.
Statuses may include:
Submitted
The training has been submitted and is waiting to be reviewed.
Under Review
The Pineapple Academy team is actively reviewing the submission.
Rejected
The submission was not approved for the Marketplace.
Promoted to Marketplace
The training has been approved and added to the Pineapple Academy Marketplace.
Managing a Submission
From the Marketplace Submissions page, locate the applicable training and select the three-dot action menu.
Depending on the submission status, you may be able to:
- View additional details
- Revoke the marketplace submission
Revoking a submission removes it from the active review process. It does not delete the original training from your library.
What Happens After Submission
After you submit training to the Marketplace, the Pineapple Academy team will review the content and submission information.
The review may consider factors such as:
- Content quality and clarity
- Relevance to Pineapple Academy customers
- Accuracy of the title, description, objectives, and categories
- Technical quality of uploaded files
- Alignment with Pineapple Academy’s content and community guidelines
- Accuracy of any regulatory or continuing education claims
Pineapple Academy may request revisions before approving a submission.
Do not assume that a training asset has been approved until its status changes to Promoted to Marketplace.
